State representative writes letters in support of Probate Judge candidate.
I am pleased to endorse Lisa Wexler for Westport/Weston Probate Judge. Lisa is a woman of impeccable reputation and character, known not only for her legal expertise in trusts and estates, but also for her integrity, work ethic, and commitment to justice.
Throughout her long career as an attorney, Lisa has drafted hundreds of wills and trusts and represented dozens of estates throughout Connecticut and New York. She has long experience in probate contests. A deeply compassionate person, she is sensitive to the types of personal and family issues that arise in probate court, and she is an attentive and caring listener.
To understand the dementia-related issues that more and more families are facing, Lisa has taken the time to research Alzheimer’s disease and to speak with leading specialists, and she has argued numerous cases alleging undue influence over the making of a will. As an example of Lisa’s integrity, she feels strongly that an estate’s conservator should, whenever possible, have known the ailing person when he or she was well and capable, in order best to understand and represent the conservatee’s interests. Therefore, while Lisa has represented those seeking to be conservators of a loved one’s estate, she has never sought to be appointed as a conservator herself.
No one works harder than Lisa, and no one cares so deeply about people in their time of greatest need. Please vote for Lisa Wexler for Westport/Weston Probate Judge on November 5.
